But satellite TV is not all boons. There are harmful sides of ti too. First is the harmful influence of the alien culture. This is never desirable at the cost of our national identity and our national culture. Then the accessibility of any programme at any time of the day and of any field or taste claim more time from the spectators and harm their activities, study and other modes of recreation. This also develops mania in many and dulls sensibility. This blocks our outdoor recreation which is essential for our better growth. National broadcasting is out shadowed. Projection of national culture becomes less effective.
Whatever be the fact, every age has its technological change. A country cannot remain aloof from it. It has to keep abreast of others. Demand of the masses can not be ignored. What is important for us is to be mature spectators of satellite TV not to be carried away by it.
